- Geographic projection of raster data structures alters data. In some cases much data may be lost (600x600 to 400x600)
- Global measures like mean elevation and standard deviation are not much affected by the transformations
- Spatial structure is altered. Analysis dependent on neighborhood operators is affected
- There are many plausible resampling methods and cell resolutions
- Consideration should be given to what method and resolution best preserves original character of the data for a particular application
