Hey Anas, this must remind you of your preschool teaching days! That Ayley-girl looks ready to graduate from the Ladybugs over at the Isla Vista Children's Center!
Boy, having a new baby makes you break out in Jack Handley-quality philosophizing, like this one:
"The size of my finger depends on which of my girls I'm holding!" Ah so, wise one. Continue our enlightenment....
"photo Tip #64: Don't let the toddler get close enough to fill the viewfinder." And how much did the electronics repair shop charge you for that lesson, sensei?
"Sometimes you just have to put the camera down and just appreciate the developing bond between sisters..." Sometimes you just have to put the camera down and rescue your little baby from the haymakers she's taking from her sibling!
Ayley is interested in her new sister. She's impressed by how hard little Jessa can suck! She has requested more opportunities for experimentation (involving her entire hand, a plush bear, forks, etc. etc.) but alas her parents have discontinued funding in this promising research area.
Lisa was there for the birth.She was great. Here are a couple of lousy pictures to express our love and appreciation!
Ayley has stayed pretty busy during Jessa's first week. Here she watches intently as Ashton prepares for his orals examination. "'This one has a little star. Say! What a lot of fish there are!' Does that answer your question, professor?" There's usually a trip to the playground and the swings. Ayley likes to go very high on the swing these days. We've also gone for long walks across the bridge and through the single student apartments.
Jessamine sleeps a lot, but she's showing lots of energy when she's awake. Here Anas takes a picture of Jessa snoozing on the futon in our living room.
