The Intel Foundation makes grants only to tax-exempt, nonprofit
organizations, not to individuals. Intel established the Intel Foundation
for the purpose of developing and funding educational and charitable
programs. National grants are for programs that are consistent with one
or more of the Foundation's funding objectives and which are national in
scope or specifically designed as a pilot for a national program. The
Intel FoundationŐs specific funding objectives are to: 1) advance math,
science, and engineering education; 2) promote the entrance of women and
underrepresented minorities into careers in science and engineering; and
3) promote public understanding of electronic technologies and their
impact on contemporary life. Funding outside these programs area is
extremely limited. SUPPORT PROVIDED: The Foundation makes cash grants
only; it does not make donations of equipment. It funds specific
projects. The Foundation does not make grants for general operating
expenses. APPLICANT INFORMATION: The Foundation makes grants only to tax-
exempt, nonprofit organizations. Applicants must be either an
organization that has tax-exemption under IRS Code Section 501(c)(3), or
a publicly funded academic institution. The Foundation does not provide
funding for grants to individuals or endowment or capital improvement
campaigns. The Intel Foundation reviews proposals on a continuous basis
throughout the year.
