The Chrysler Corporation Fund makes grants to 501(c)(3) organizations
only, not to individuals. The fund concentrates its support on programs
that address the key issues and criteria in the communities where the
company has major operations and where its employees live and work.
Chrysler's higher education support is directed primarily toward
exemplary undergraduate and graduate schools and graduate schools of
business and engineering or major departments specializing in automotive
design. In addition to higher education, the Fund is interested in
supporting selected national, regional and community-wide initiatives
that focus on school to work skills, expanding job skills, technical
training and entry-level job preparation. The vast majority of this
support is directed to programs at the K-12 and community college level
or through innovative community-based social programs that address the
special training needs of at-risk populations.
