Solutions
As the meeting leaders prepared background papers and other materials for
this meeting, it was soon apparent that the concept of interoperability
for GIS education did not exist in a vacuum. A number of major and
important projects are currently underway which provide significant foundations
for GIS education interoperability. Presentations by active participants
in these projects provided considerable insight into how we might solve
some of the problems identified. This section provides brief descriptions
of these projects within the context of Interoperability for GIS education.
