Geo InSight International is a consulting firm specializing in geographic
information systems (GIS) and related technologies, including CAD, DGPS, remote
sensing/image processing, digital orthophotography, and multimedia database
management. We provide comprehensive system planning, design, development, and
integration services; custom programming; GIS training and on-site technical
assistance; and environmental applications. Our custom programs and
pre-packaged software enhance the ease of use and productivity of popular
products such as AutoCAD, ARC/INFO, ArcView, ERDAS, and Intergraph MicroStation.
We have developed innovative solutions and applications for environmental
resource management, air and water quality management, land use planning,
utilities mapping/management, as well as defense and emergency
response/transportation planning. Our offices in California and Hawaii host
state-of-the-art equipment, training facilities, and multidisciplinary staff
with international experience.
Our GIS education activities encompass a wide audience and diverse applications with GIS related courses and education activities, on-site and in our training facilities in both offices. We provide traditional ESRI-certified training courses, as well as innovative, hands-on training for project-specific applications. Students represent a wide variety of public, private, and non-profit organizations from the U.S. and overseas. We also provide internship opportunities for university and high-school students, as well as for teachers interested in learning more about GIS for their own classroom applications. In our new training facility in Ojai, we will offer GIS/environmental awareness summer workshops for children, incorporating state-of-the-art technologies in a fun-filled, easy-to-understand style of presentation. By building upon our strong foundation of GIS and related technology research and consulting, we hope to continue to expand the horizons of generations of users.
