1995 International Young Scholars Summer Institute in Geographic Information


Wolfe's Neck, Maine, July 26-August 3, 1995

In the summer of 1995, the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) and the European Science Foundation (ESF) jointly sponsored the first Summer Institute in Geographic Information which will be held at the Wolfe's Neck Conference Center near Portland, Main e, U.S.A. The Summer Institute was organized by the National Center for Geographic Information and Analysis (NCGIA) for the U.S. side and by the GISDATA program for the European side. The Institute offered an exciting opportunity for young GIS researche rs to meet with each other, attend seminars and presentations given by leading American and European experts, discuss common areas of research, attend hands-on demonstrations, and visit GIS application sites.
